Fun in Kirkwood

This family came to me through a new family that I shot a few months ago (Thanks Mary!). I love when people think to spread my name. In days like this when everyone is so busy, it is wonderful to know someone took the time to talk about me and my photos I did for them. And because of that I get to work with AWESOME families like this one. They were beyond perfect, completely up for whatever I had in mind (my type of shoot..creative freedom, yah!). We had so much fun exploring Kirkwood which is the community they live in and is close to their hearts. I noticed right away the adorable kids are mini me's....baby girl looks just like her beautiful mom and big brother is a clone of his Dad. It was so cool! I love seeing the resemblance in families when I work with them. :)
Enjoy a FUN family!!

He is an awesome big brother, I know I told him that many times during our time together. She is one lucky little gal to have this big brother looking out for her.

And for her, she LOVES her Daddy!

Talk about some beautiful blue eyed kiddos!

The body language in this one speaks volumes.

And the beautiful couple who started it all :)

It was so wonderful to work with you guys and get to know your darling family!
Thank you so much for making me a part of your summer! I hope your pictures make you smile,
they had me smiling big time while editing them. So much fun!
Thank you!!

Fun Evening with the Yarnell Family

It was such a wonderful change of pace to work with a family with older kids. They were such a fun group, so glad to see them again...I shot Tyler's (handsome guy in the red shirt) Senior pictures last year. I knew the whole family would be great. You can just tell that they have a lot of fun when they are together. It gave me a glimpse of how life would be for me in a few years when my 3 girls were older. Bittersweet, but fun a the same time.

It was so great to see you guys! And I am so glad we
were able to get these in before Tyler left for College. Thanks for
being so great to work with! You guys were so much fun.

Big Bright Future

I have had the chance to shoot head shots for this beauty 3 times now, and each time as been a blast! She is going big places and I am so thrilled to be able to capture her on her way to the top!

Best of luck in Florida....you are going to rock it!!

Did I mention she is 5'10" and just turning 14. And I thought my 14 year old was tall :)

Mega-watt smile! Love!

Smiley Little Guy

I was very excited to meet this family, I got the chance to speak with mom on the phone a few times and she is such a sweetheart! After meeting them I am even more excited to get the capture the rest of this little guys one year milestones.

He is one smiley guys (hence the title of this blog post). I usually say that I think 3 months is the hardest age to capture with babies. They are past that sweet sleepy newborn stage, they don't sit up and usually they don't have great head control. And smiles can be hard to come by.....but not this guy! One look at his mommy and daddy and his face lights up. Plus even the silly Photographer's face got some big ole grins from him.

He is so sweet and I hope you enjoy taking a look at this sweet family in the new stage of their life.....

Mom and Dad are High School sweethearts. They had their Prom picture taken in front of this butterfly statue....I thought it was pretty cool they wanted a new one as a family of three :)

Your family is so full of love!! I had a great time capturing you as your are
right now. I can't wait to do it again at 6 months :)
See you this Fall!!
Hugs!

Love a Good Surprise!!

See the pretty lady in the pink shirt....this whole shoot was a surprise for her. Actually her whole day was full of wonderful surprises for her birthday. The only family got together and threw her a surprise party. After the party was over.....did they go home? Nope! They met me (yeah!!) for some pictures of the whole gang.

They were great to work with! Everyone was so easy...even the darling kiddos :) I loved that they pulled this off and they I was included in such a special day. The whole gorgeous group starting things off.....

Some of each family....these kids were ready for me to be done doing my thing so they could go play in the super cool tree pod thingy at Laumeier Sculpture Park.

You might recognize these beautiful girls from a Spring shoot I posted...as cute as ever!

See pod = cool hang out! They were very happy to pose for me up there.

I call this family the "awesome smilers" :) Look at those beautiful smiles. I actually think I called them "tall family" that day :)

Tree climber extraordinaire!

My favorite of the day!! ha ha! Brothers, gotta love them. Cheryl, I think you need to frame this. haha!

What a wonderful birthday gift for a wonderful lady! Thank you guys so much for
braving the heat and wind for what I think are some great pictures of a great family!
Hope you enjoy these for years to come!
