Family Fun in the City

I know I ave said this many times before, but I LOVE urban locations for family sessions. It is just my personal favorite, so when a client agrees to urban or requests urban. I am dancing the "urban jig"....my creative side goes into over drive and I am counting the days until the shoot. It isn't that I don't love parks, St. Louis in my opinion has some of the most beautiful parks in all of the US of A. But downtown St. Louis with it's rich past and beautiful architecture.....swoon. :)

This adorable family of 3 hails from the City, they live it...love it and were more than willing to meet there for their shoot. We picked City Garden which is the perfect combo of park with a little urban flair :)

I had a great time with this trio...I really just followed their little spunky cutie pie around as she explored and did her thing. My favorite kind of shoot...life style, candid and exactly who they are as a family at this moment.

Enjoy......

Love the shoes!

And how about those eyelashes and I can't forget to mention her hair...gorgeous gorgeous hair.

Love!!

Thank you guys so much for contacting me! It was a pleasure to meet
you and capture your darling family. These pictures had me grinning
from ear to ear while I edited them....I hope you love them too!
Happy Fall!!

Baby Boys A Plenty....

I have been photographing lots of little boys, especially babies as of lately. I love it!! I love to see their cute little outfits and shoes and boy toys. My house is over-run with girl stuff. So it is nice to spend some time outside of my element :)

I was sooo happy to hear from this awesome family! It had been a couple years since I had them in front of my camera....and they were calling with BIG news! They had a new family member and they were now a family of 4. I couldn't wait to meet him.

Oh my, he was sooo darling! Gosh, I could of held him and played with him all day :)

Here he is with his handsome older brother.....brothers, they are good things to have in life :) I know that for sure!

Little hand.....Big hand

The whole beautiful family and Melissa looks too darn gorgeous for having a 2 week old baby in her lap. :)

Love!!

I have to say he has the most perfect creamy skin. I didn't have to do much to it, usually I smooth little babies skin out because they have the typical newborn spots and marks. But his skin was like porcelain. And he photographed like a dream!

Lil' Pumpkin head...haha!

Hi there mommy....this one made me tear up a bit when editing it. Gosh that is such a beautiful amazing stage and it is gone in a flash.

This last one cracks me up! I just had to include it.

"B" Family,
It was sooo great to meet your newest member. You are a
beautiful family and it was my pleasure to capture these
amazing first moments of your now family of four.
Thank you for your patience...and I bet you will be shocked
at how little he looks in these compared to now just a few short
weeks later. :)
Happy Holidays and Best Wishes in 2012.

3 Months of Cuteness

Ahhh, I love my "One Year" clients. I love watching these sweet sweet babies grow over a course of a year and how their looks and personalities evolve.

3 months can be the toughest to capture. Most babies aren't sitting up, aren't crazy about being on their bellies and are usually pretty serious (I mean a lady with a big ole camera in your face can be pretty intimidating). But what I love is it gives me lots of opportunity to focus on their beautiful little faces and sweet expressions....they can't run away from me at this age :)

This little guy was studying me and really enjoying his morning outdoors. :) That was until we did something naughty (like sticking him in a basket with a pumpkin hat on his head...haha!)

I swear I feel like he is looking at us in this picture and thinking "really, your really going to make me do this?" haha! I love it! This is one for the slideshow at his wedding in 25 years. haha!

"B" Family,
I can't get over how fast 3 months went, and how adorable your little guy
is getting! I am super excited for his 6 months shoot and I know it will
be here before we know it.
Enjoy the remainder of your 2011!

To Love, Honor and Cherish.....

THIS

+   14 years of marriage =

14 years BABY!!! In this day and age is something
to be very proud of....and I am! I have a wonderful partner...
one who still can't keep his hands off of me (even though I act
annoyed most of the time...it is pretty darn cool), he supports
every decision I make. He treats me better than I deserve most
of the time (I can be hard to live with). I truly believe God
put him on this Earth for me.....because why else would he
of put up with me for 14 years. :)
Blessed beyond measure by you Jamey!
I love you!

Three = Happiness

I just adore families of three. Mom and Dad bursting with love and admiration for this little person that took them from a couple to a family.

I met this beautiful family on a gorgeous light filled morning. Their little guy....DARLING. He is such a happy guy, and he really loved his little wagon that he got to ride in from spot to spot :) Meeting them was the perfect start to my day.

I know I sound like a broken record....but I am a lucky lucky girl! I get to photograph some of the most beautiful families in St. Louis. :)

Look at those lashes!!

Love this shot below! So much fun.

Thank you "P" family for spending the morning with me. I am so glad I
was able to get a chance to work with you. Your a beautiful family
inside and out :)
Thanks for your patience too....your CD is full of even more
gorgeous moments :) Can't wait for you to see the rest.

Just the Way they Are

This is another darling family that I have gotten the pleasure of knowing through my girls school. OH how I LOVE this session. It is just about a family being who they are at this very moment in their lives. Posed pics were pretty much out of the question with two very active little boys. 90% of the pictures in this post were taken "on the fly".....and I wouldn't have it any other way. I like to refer to myself as a "lifestyle" photographer. Which I supposed basically means I want to capture a families life and how they are...not have every single shot a frozen pose with forced smiles on your face.

Have fun, get silly, tickle, blow bubbles, read books...make your kids giggle. That folks is when the magic happens.
Talk a look below and you will see exactly what I mean....

And ending with the awesome mom and dad who are responsible for all this cuteness.

M Family,
I can't thank you enough for letting me follow your
darling little family around as you all enjoyed a night of books, bubbles and bees :)
Thank you so much for your patience as I try very hard to keep up with my editing.
I hope it was worth the wait :)
Hugs!
Lisa
(or aka Riley's mom) haha!
